613
Number — gematria and numerology meaning
Six hundred and thirteen is the traditional number of commandments, or mitzvot, in the Torah in Jewish teaching: 248 positive ones and 365 prohibitions, a split recorded in the Talmud. The two parts match the number of limbs and the number of days in the year, as covered under 365. It reduces to One in numerology.
The traditional explanation, given in the Talmud, is that the word Torah has the Hebrew value 611, and that two further commandments, the first two of the Ten Commandments, were heard directly from God, which brings the total to 613.
