Truth

Truth carries a relatively high ordinal value of 87 for a five-letter word, reducing to Six, a number tied to responsibility and rightness rather than pure intellect. Its low reverse ordinal of 48 is sometimes contrasted against its high forward value as a small numerological curiosity. The word is Germanic in origin, related to the older word "troth" (as in "plight one's troth"), tying truth etymologically to faithfulness and loyalty in a promise as much as to factual accuracy.
