Unity

Unity comes from the Latin "unitas," oneness — fittingly, several numerology traditions treat the number One as unity's numeric counterpart, even though the word "unity" itself reduces to a different value under ordinal gematria. Its ordinal value of 89 reduces to Eight, illustrating a common pattern in this dictionary where a word's symbolic association with a number and its actual calculated reduction don't match — the symbolic reading is usually built on meaning alone, independent of the gematria math.
