12
Number — gematria and numerology meaning
Twelve is one of the most widely used numbers in human calendars and traditions: twelve months, twelve zodiac signs, twelve hours of day and night, twelve tribes of Israel and twelve apostles. It is also easy to divide, by 2, 3, 4 and 6, which is why the dozen survives in trade. In numerology it reduces to Three, linking it with expression and creative combination.
Twelve is also the number of notes in the Western chromatic scale and of hours on a clock face, which makes it a number people meet every day without noticing.

- 12 is a composite number. Its prime factors are 2^2 × 3.
